Day 3: Rest Day!
AUG 29 - SEPT 1
2024
Part 3 of 4: Rest Day. Optional Be Good Ride. Potato Olympics. PARTY!

Rebecca's Private Idaho multi-stage gravel race takes place on Labor Day weekend for the 12th year. This 4-part series explores the uniqueness of each stage, and sheds light on some new options available for competitors wanting to pick and choose their own adventure. This is part 3:

Day 3 is Saturday, August 31
Rest Day in Ketchum, Idaho + The Be Good Ride and Vendor Expo.

Optional Be Good Ride on the Tater Tot route: 20.8 MI | 1,335' -- GPXSTRAVA

Our Be Good Ride is for everyone, and it's the one opportunity where anyone can ride together regardless which race situation they've signed themselves up for. It's a perfect pre-race leg opener with friends to get you ready for Sunday whether you're doing the Tater Tot for a second time, venturing into farther reaches over Trail Creek Summit on the French Fry, or going all-in and getting baked like a potato on the longest route of the event.

Vendor Expo and The Potato Olympics

Our Vendor Expo is a great opportunity to get to know the partners that help make Rebecca's Private Idaho possible. Without their support and involvement, events like this just wouldn't be possible. We bring a host of vendors to RPI, and it creates a fun atmosphere right in the middle of Ketchum on Saturday where we will also host our rider meeting in the afternoon.

The Potato Olympics are Coming!

Years ago, Aerah Hardin, Executive Director of the Be Good Foundation, was inspired by her competitive nieces and nephews and their love of Cheese Balls to create the Cheese Ball Olympic Games. This annual event included her 4 nieces and nephews, sometimes additional cousins, and anyone brave enough to join.

After moving to Idaho in 2020, Aerah realized that the Cheese Ball Olympics had filled a significant purpose in her life. With a little introspection and a lot of therapy, she decided to resurrect the event in Idaho, transforming it into the Potato Olympics. What better place to share her love for silly, ultra-competitive games than at Rebecca's Private Idaho, with hundreds of competitors from across the US?

The Potato Olympics will be held on Saturday at the RPI expo throughout the day. These will be fun, 2-person team games in a single-elimination March Madness style tournament. The final team will be crowned the official gold medal RPI Potato Olympic champions.

Costumes are encouraged, and a competitive spirit is essential. The games are open to all ages, but no age handicaps are given. Participants need skill, agility, a close partner, and a willingness to look and feel silly!

The games are free and open to anyone who wants to sign up.

The Be Good Party

We launch the RPI experience with an exclusive Be Good™ Foundation Party, featuring music, drinks, and small-town hospitality! This event is entirely dedicated to fundraising for the Be Good™ Foundation. Your purchase includes a raffle entry, exclusive Be Good™ merchandise, and a chance to mingle with the Queen herself, among other exciting perks. CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS

Wagon Days!

It's one of the country's most remarkable non-motorized parades, featuring an impressive display of museum-quality carriages, carts, and stagecoaches. Riding clubs and cultural equestrians highlight the diverse tapestry of Idaho's equestrian traditions.
